The South Beach Art Deco District is a whimsical collection of more than 800 architecturally protected buildings in Miami Beach from the 1930s and 1940s – a definite must-see. Stay in one of its boutique or throwback hotels – you'll also find some of Miami Beach's finest dining, nightlife and spas here. North Beach's Ocean Terrace is fast becoming a smaller version of South Beach, with inviting oceanfront hotels and cafés. Regardless, be sure to go for a beachside stroll or to Haulover Park for fishing, bike rides, tennis or golf. And, of course, Miami Beach’s nightlife always concludes an unforgettable vacation day.

CocoCay, also known as Little Stirrup Cay, is a private island in the Bahamas and part of the Berry Islands, a chain of small cays and islands located about 55 miles north of Nassau. It is used exclusively for tourism by Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. Little Stirrup Cay sits next to Great Stirrup Cay, which has been Norwegian Cruise Line’s private island since 1977. In 2019, Royal Caribbean carried out a major $250 million USD renovation of the island. A pier was built on the north side so cruise ships can dock directly instead of relying on tenders. The east end of the island is the main hub for activities, with beaches along a coral basin where visitors can see manatees, rays, and many tropical fish. Nature trails cross the island from end to end. The renovation also added a large water park that features Daredevil’s Peak, the tallest water slide in North America.

Samana is an ecotourism destination surrounded by breathtaking nature, featuring its own paradise island called Cayo Levantado just a few minutes away by boat, lush tropical mountain hills, the virgin forest of El Valle, many beautiful waterfalls, caves with petroglyphs and pictograms, the famous Playa Rincón beach, and countless other secluded beaches with crystal-clear waters.

Puerto Plata, also known as San Felipe de Puerto Plata, is a coastal city in the Dominican Republic with a population of about 130,000 and is the capital of Puerto Plata province. Famous for its beautiful sandy beaches, it’s a popular resort destination and a great place to meet local Dominicans and shop in neighborhood businesses. Take the funicular up the mountain behind the city to see a replica of the original Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. At the top, there’s a short trail with scenic viewpoints, a cave, and a small lagoon-like pool. You can also visit Fortaleza San Felipe, a historic fort overlooking the main bay. In front of the fort, a large grassy area offers a pleasant spot for a picnic with views of the water.

The Bahama Islands are a chain of around 2,000 islands, including the cays, which are tiny islands formed on coral reefs. Nassau, located on New Providence, is the capital of the Bahamas and showcases a blend of vibrant Neo-colonial 19th century structures and contemporary hotel resorts. Nassau is positioned at the northern tip of New Providence, overlooking the bay between the main island and Paradise Island. The vast majority of the nation's inhabitants reside in Nassau on New Providence Island and in the Freeport region on Grand Bahama. Nassau boasts a blend of vibrant Neo-colonial 19th century architecture and modern hotel resorts. The colonial charm of Nassau's Historical Town is worth exploring.
